Vetalwadi fort: Travel over to an unknown fort

 

Vetalwadi fort is situatued at 20 kilometres from Ajanta caves. Located on a hill, it dominates the entire neighboring valley, actually the fort name comes from the valley.
It has many defensive structures, we will explain you the use of it during the exploration.
At the top of the hill, one can enjoy panorama view. After feeling a bit tired, we will have lunch with farmers to taste village food.
Then journey starts towards the Rudreshwar caves, one of the tallest statue of Lord Ganesh carved on hill in Marathwada.
Then the journey ends with happy memories.

Shendurvada: Between temples and palace

 

The village of Shendurvada is located near Aurangabad.

It has many monuments to visit.

We will start the visit with the temple of Ganesh, close to the Kham river. This village is known for it.

We will then see the Mahanubhav Ashram.

After lunch, we will explore the village to discover ancient houses and a temple with beautiful black stone statues.

Beed: History and Spirituality

 

Beed is a historic town built between 1210 and 1247AD during the reign of the Yadavas of Devgiri. They always had a strategic interest in all the empires in the region.

This is why Muhammad Bin Tughluq enclosed it with fortifications which is still visible today.

Beed also has beautiful and unique temples.

The first visit will be to Madalmohi temple. We will then see the old town of Beed. After lunch, we will visit the temples of Kankaleshwar and Khandoba.

All these temples from different era will make you mesmerized where can find a peace.

Ambad: a place of spirituality in Marathwada

 

Ambad is a small village in Jalna district.

The story goes like its name comes from King Ambarish who allegedly prayed to a goddess shaped like a fish. The devi was called Matsyodari. Since that time, Ambad is considered holy place. A big ceremony takes place here after Diwali and people also visit this temple to fulfill their wishes.

We will start the tour by visiting the temple of Khadkeshwar which is located between Aurangabad and Ambad. Once we arrive in Ambad, we will visit the various old temples of the village. We will have lunch in the afternoon and will start the journey back to Aurangabad.
