During these 5 days, we invite you to discover the history of Maharashtra, central region of India which has twice merged with history of India. Indeed, twice the region has hosted the tag of capital of India.

The first time was in the 14th century when the Sultan of Delhi decided to transfer their capital from Delhi to Daultabad. For 6 years, Daultabad was the capital of the sultanate at the time when it was the most extended territoriality. This territory extended over all of northern and central India.

And in the 17th century, Aurangabad became the capital of the Mughal empire. Under Aurangzeb, this empire covered southern Afghanistan, Pakistan, almost all of Indian territory, Bangladesh and northern Burma. It was the most powerful empire in Asia.

We will also show you Paithan village which was the capital of the region’s first empire. It is known today for the most expensive Paithani sari in India.

Finally, one cannot miss the region without visiting the two UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Ajanta and Ellora caves.

You will see all that during this historical tour.
